- Open Auditions 2025-26: Open to the school Auditions = Anyone in the school, whether they are in theatre classes or not, may audition and participate. All shows are "pass to play" meaning you must be passing all classes to remain eligible to participate. It is suggested that you review how to prepare for the style of audition and read the script for the show you are auditioning for.
Closed to classes Auditions = There are shows only for those students taking the classes and able to attend rehearsals during the school day during class. Many of these are graded shows.
Coming up! - OPEN AUDITIONS: Fall show- August 18th, 2:45 - 4:30pm - Cold readings from the script given when you arrive, no required materials to prepare. - Fall Show Tab with audition form link available.
Texas Thespian State Festival - August 28th, 2:45 - 4:30p. Once you have completed your audition you will be free to leave. Special requirements, please check the TTSF page tab and read carefully to prepare for the audition. At least 1/2 your performance must be ready for this audition.
Improv - September 9th, 2:45 - 4:30pm. Get some practice at the Theatre Club meeting just before auditions. Improv games and skills will be auditioned.
Musical! - October 14 & 15th, 2:45 - 4:30pm. Singing, Acting (dress to impress) and Movement (wear something to move in). UPDATE: Prepare a piece of a song from the show for a character you wish to play. Here are the pieces you can choose from: LINK to Audition Music
Student One Act Plays (SOAPS) - March 31st, 2:45 - 4:00pm. Cold readings from the script given when you arrive, no required materials to prepare. Productions class - April 10th, 2:45 - 4:30pm. Very specific requirements, please look early and begin working sooner rather than later. Please check the Production show tab.
